Hello, Hope you are all well, we have some exciting news for you, Rarars Adventures has just launched R A Scooter Buddies.
What is it? well let me share with you, it's a service to help others in the local community who drive mobility scooters, the aim is to help build people's confidence and meet new people, to make new buddies so you can have someone to go out with or, just feel more confident in yourself to go out on your own, on your scooter.
We decided to start this because I drive a mobility scooter myself, and I remember that when I first started, I didn't enjoy it, I felt like I was being judged all the time, I was always worried that something would go wrong, and if it did, what would I do? but over time I did build my confidence, and at the end of the day without my scooter, I would be housebound.
Which got me thinking, I'm not the only one who can feel this way, and I love helping others with Rarars Adventures so I decided with the support of my sister and mum that we would start R A Scooter Buddies.
What we offer.
At the moment we are offering to meet once a week on a Tuesday or Thursday depending on which day is more popular,(using your own mobility scooter) meeting at the lighthouse on the promenade at Littlehampton and then having a slow drive along the promenade down to the wave swimming pool, crossing the road to Mewsbrooks park then stopping for a drink (pay for yourself ) so we can get to know each other, and then we will be making our way back to the lighthouse.
This service is free, I just want to give people the confidence to be able to go out and about on their scooters.
If this is something you are interested in, then just click the link below which will take you to the booking page.
There will be a max of 8 people, so no need to worry about having to meet too many people.
As long as we have one person booked in, and it's not raining we will be running the service.
look forward to meeting you soon.
