Hello and welcome back. This month we wanted to do something a little different, we went to Cycall which is based in Worthing, it's a pop-up place. and this is all about what Rarars Adventures looks for when visiting places. Cycall is a place where you can go on adapted bikes to enjoy a nice quiet bike ride, they are amazing! they have all kinds of different bikes, Two-seater, One-seater, and some you pedal with your hands some your feet, bikes that you can put a wheelchair on, loads of different types, I want to share with you some information that I have quoted from their website to share a little more about them.
The Cycall team
"CYCALL is run by a dedicated team of volunteers. Cycall will provide a companion 'buddy' rider for anyone who finds themselves socially isolated due to age, disability, or illness such as dementia. 'Buddy' riders will also be available for anyone who would benefit from a supported CYCALL ride.
CYCALL sessions are about more than just pedaling. They provide a valuable opportunity for meaningful social interaction. We also play large garden games which promote the development of social skills, gross motor skills coordination."
So as you can see this place is all about helping other people with any illness or disability getting back out there in the fresh air, meeting new people spending time with loved ones, and it's completely free, they have a donations box there if you would like to leave a donation. there are two routes, there is a large loop and then a smaller loop to go round and you can go around as many times as you wish, and at your own pace. some of the bikes have batteries on to help with the peddling if this is something that you feel you may struggle with, which is what we used and I must say it does make a difference.
we really enjoyed our visit there, there are toilets in the car park and a disabled toilet there as well, but you will need your RADAR Key which I have left a link to down below if you would like to know more information on how to get one.
I would love to know if you have visited CYCALL and what your experience was while visiting.
thank you for reading. All the links are down below along with a short film to watch.
